Taking radio out to meet people

In 1991 I joined Radio Une for the 5.30–9 a.m. breakfast show, carried on several networks and shortwave. Live news included the Oslo Accords and a special D-Day programme in 1994.

With “La Cité aux 5 clés” on Bruxelles Capitale in 1995, radio left the studio. A heritage game, a broadcast vehicle and encounters around the city. The concept moved to La Première in 1999, retaining its connection with people and places.

From 2000 to 2004, the Bruxelles Capitale breakfast show brought me back to daily news and Brussels life. Vivacité and Télé Bruxelles followed. Cameras came into the studio, bringing pictures into the work.
